Dandelion Wine is a unique and aromatic beverage made from dandelion blossoms combined with water, sugar, and fresh orange slices, then fermented with active dry yeast. This homemade wine captures the essence of spring with its floral and citrus notes, perfect for enjoying on a warm day.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups dandelion blossoms , well-rinsed and pesticide-free
  • 5 cups water ,
  • 1 .25-oz package of active dry yeast
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 orange , sliced

Instructions
 

  • BRING water to a boil.
  • ADD dandelion blossoms and let stand for 5 minutes.
  • REMOVE the blossoms, and let the water cool to just above room temperature.
  • STIR in the remaining ingredients and pour into a plastic fermentor.
  • ALLOW the wine to ferment 3-4 days until the bubbles stop.
  • STRAIN into a glass container and let the wine age for a week, then enjoy!
