Classic Mint Julep is a refreshing and iconic Southern cocktail, made with Kentucky bourbon, fresh mint, sugar, and crushed ice. Traditionally served in a silver or pewter cup, this beverage is perfect for hot summer days and has been a staple at the Kentucky Derby for over a century.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Kentucky bourbon
  • 2 tsps sugar
  • 8 oz crushed or shaved ice
  • 5 mint sprigs , fresh

Instructions
 

  • MUDDLE 4 of the mint sprigs with the sugar in the bottom of a julep or highball glass.
  • FILL glass with ice.
  • ADD bourbon, and let glass stand until it gets frosty.
  • GARNISH with remaining mint sprig, and sip with a straw.
