10 Best Tasting Rooms in America
1. Banshee Wines
Healdsburg, CA
The Banshee Wines Tasting Room, located in Downtown Healdsburg, provides a trendy, modern and comfortable setting for enjoying wine by the glass or the bottle. The space is adorned with reclaimed wood floors, distressed leather furniture and a communal table where friends can gather.
2. Beaux Freres
Newberg, OR
A tasting at the Beaux Frères tasting room in Newberg, Oregon is all about the Pinot Noir. Open by appointment, the tasting room provides a simple, country-style space, but it’s the quality of the wines – some of the best in the region – that landed Beaux Frères a spot on this list.
3. Brooklyn Oneology
Brooklyn, NY
In addition to great BOE wines, the Brooklyn Oenology tasting room serves other whiskies, ciders and beers from around New York State. Wines come by the glass or in flights, and the space doubles as an art gallery featuring the work of rotating artists.
4. Bluxome Street Winery
San Francisco, CA
Guests at the original Bluxome Street Winery tasting room at 53 Bluxome St. in San Francisco sip their wine while gazing through expansive windows overlooking the working winery. The friendly, open space – perfect for mingling with friends old and new – serves wine flights as well as small bites.
5. Charles Smith Wines
Seattle, WA
Charles Smith Wines operates two tasting rooms – one in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood and the other in downtown Walla Walla. Both occupy re-purposed buildings, a former Dr. Pepper bottling plant and an old auto repair warehouse respectively, and both feature Charles Smith Wines served to the sound of great music.
6. Dry Creek Vineyard
Healdsburg, CA
Dry Creek Vineyard was the first new winery built in the Dry Creek Valley following the end of Prohibition, and today, the Healdsburg tasting room pours some of the best Fumé Blancs and Zinfandels from California. Guests can also purchase wine from the tasting room to enjoy on the winery’s lovely picnic grounds.
7. Hedges Family Estate
Red Mountain, WA
The beautiful Hedges Family Estate in Washington makes a perfect setting for sampling some of Washington’s finest wines, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The estate tasting room is set amid a stunning Red Mountain vineyard.
8. Early Mountain Vineyards
Madison, VA
At Early Mountain Vineyards in Virginia, wine enthusiasts can sip a glass of fine Virginia wine by a roaring fireplace in winter or outdoors in a picnic area in summer. Sofas and chairs make for comfortable seating, while board games keep young guests (and the young at heart) entertained.
9. Infinite Monkey Theorem
Austin, TX & Denver, CO
Infinite Monkey Theorem in Austin is all about great wine without the pretense. The Tap Room offers an inviting place to kick back with with a glass (or can) of wine while listening to tunes and chatting with friends. Infinite Monkey Theorem also has a winery and tasting room in Denver.
10. Ravines Wine Cellars
Geneva, NY
Ravines Wine Cellars operates two tasting rooms, but our favorite is the one at White Springs Farms in Geneva, New York. Housed in a historic slate barn, the space creates the perfect setting for sampling Ravines wines and learning more about the Finger Lakes region.
All outstanding winerys I am sure, didn’t vote because I have visited them YET! However I recommend Blackhawkwinery in Sheridan Indiana
