Sea-Salt Caramel Popcorn
Sea-Salt Caramel Popcorn is a delightful and indulgent snack made from freshly popped popcorn coated in a rich caramel sauce, infused with vanilla extract and a touch of sea salt. This sweet and salty treat is perfect for movie nights or as a special homemade gift.
Ingredients
- ½ cup popcorn kernels
- 2 tbsps olive oil
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ¼ tsp baking soda

Instructions
- HEAT olive oil and popcorn in a pot over medium heat. Cover and shake frequently as kernels begin to pop. Remove from heat once popping begins to slow.
- MELT butter over medium-high heat in a separate pot. Add brown sugar, stirring constantly, until it begins to bubble.
- ADD vanilla extract, sea salt and baking soda to mixture, continuing to stir.
- DRIZZLE over popcorn, tossing periodically to make sure it is evenly coated. Serve.

I like the different options, but none of the four flavored popcorn recipes listed here note what the amount of popcorn kernels to use. This video doesn’t show how much to use either. RATIO: 2 Tbsp oil; 1/3 cup popcorn kernels -or- 3 Tbsp oil; 1/2 cup popcorn kernels.
