Rosé Cider is a Thing, and We’re Officially Freaking Out

Some might say the best part about summer is the warmth of the sun, relaxing beaches or vibrant vacations. Those things are nice, but every booze lover knows that summer is particularly great because of the pink drink of our dreams, rosé. If you swear by this glorious pink flavor parade, you might not have to wait until summer (AKA “rosé season”) to get your fill of this fabulous beverage.

Angry Orchard — which is known for serving up its crispy, fresh ciders — has decided to add a brand new, pale pink offering to its wicked line of products. The cider company put a spin on our favorite warm weather classic and the result is a magical rosé cider.

Although the special drink contains six different apple varieties, the secret trick to getting pink-colored cider is the “Red Love” apple. This means rosé wine wasn’t used at all when creating this beverage. According to Angry Orchard, “The red flesh apples in Angry Orchard Rosé are from France. Each apple is crisp, juicy and red to the core, adding an irresistible rosy blush and apple-forward taste with a refreshing, dry finish.”

Although Rosé Cider is new to the Angry Orchard family, other brands like Wölffer and Strongbow have embraced the world of pink cider as well. This is no surprise considering the drastic rise in popularity of rosé wine in recent years. From the Hamptons rosé shortage to the over 1.6 million people tagging rosé on Instagram, this #millennial-pink drink has fought its way to the forefront of all that is cool when it comes to booze.

Good news, as we mentioned before, Angry Orchard’s new rosé drink is available year round unlike many of our favorite rosé products which are normally seasonal offerings. This means summer got started early and you don’t have to wait to post #RoséAllDay on the Gram. The Angry Orchard Rosé comes in a six-pack and a 12-pack variety box mixed with some of the company’s other well-known flavors, and it can be purchased nationwide. Go forth, and party with your new favorite drink like it’s 79 degrees.
