Spiced Old Fashioned

Ever had an Old Fashioned? How about an Old Fashioned with a little kick? Enter the Spiced Old Fashioned made with Santera Tequila and a couple slices of jalapeño. As bartender and cocktail pro Stephen Yorsz puts it, this drink has got all the booze of the traditional predecessor with an extra little flare on the end to kick things up a notch.

BUILD jalapeño, aromatic bitters, orange bitters and maple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
LIGHTLY muddle ingredients.
ADD Santera Añejo Tequila.
GARNISH with an orange twist. Serve.

    Awesome cocktail! Thank you for sharing it! But sorry, no one I talked to in Southern California has ever heard of Santera, is it only distributed to bars?

    I tried it with some Mezcals also. Worked great with Leyenda Guerrero, but Fidencio didn’t really fly, too mild I guess.
