Peri Peri African Chicken
Peri Peri African Chicken is a spicy and flavorful dish that combines the heat of chili powder with the smoky depth of paprika, the freshness of lemon juice, and aromatic garlic and ginger. This chicken dish is perfect for those who love bold flavors and a bit of heat.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup paprika
- 2 tbsps hot chili powder
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 4 bone-in chicken breast (or thigh) halves
- 1½ tsps fresh ginger , chopped
- 1½ tsps salt
Wine Pairing
- red blend
Instructions
- STIR together the paprika, chili powder, lemon juice, garlic, ginger and salt in a large bowl.
- RUB chicken with the mixture, place in a dish and marinate for 3 hours.
- PREHEAT a grill to medium heat.
- PLACE chicken onto the grill and discard the marinade. Cook for about 30 minutes, turning occassionally, until the skin is slightly charred and juices run clear.
- SERVE with a side of your choosing (also awesome for sandwiches!).
