NYC’s Best Outdoor Bar Spots

With the hot summer days and longer nights now in full effect, so is the search for the perfect outdoor bar spot. Luckily, New York City doesn’t disappoint too often, and thankfully for us it holds its own in the rooftop and outdoor bar scene.
From the joints that have been around for centuries (literally – check out Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden) to some new places making a name for themselves, here are a few of our favorite go-to places for this summer season that will satisfy all of your outdoor drinking needs, whatever they may be:

Pig Beach

480 Union St, Brooklyn

Just because we’re in the city doesn’t mean our cravings for some good ol’ fashioned, southern-style BBQ can be ignored. Thankfully, Pig Beach in Brooklyn is now open for the summer. After revamping their menu from last summer this place really does offer it all.  From the mouthwatering food to the relaxed and spacious outdoor seating area to the solid array of cocktails offered- we’re willing to bet you’ll probably find yourself chowing down on a rack of ribs or sipping on a Major Tom Collins maybe more often than you had intended.

Loopy Doopy Rooftop Bar

Top of the Conrad Hotel, 102 North End Ave, New York

Loopy Doopy is already on our radar for their insanely popular (and delicious) Prosecco & Ice Pop Cocktails. But we can’t forget one of the other main draws of this bar- the insane views of Lower Manhattan, including The Statue of Liberty. At the top of the Conrad Hotel, this popular place definitely tops our list for one of the best outdoor bars for the summer.

The Refinery Rooftop

Top of the Refinery Hotel, 63 W 38th St, New York

Boasting a stunning first-hand view of the Manhattan skyline and the Empire State Building, it is no wonder that the Refinery rooftop is the crowning jewel of the Refinery Hotel. This is also an ideal date night spot if you’re trying to impress. The killer combination of the skyline view mixed with their carefully curated cocktail list and a warm summer night, we won’t blame you if you never want to leave.

Alta Linea High Line

180 Tenth Ave, New York

There really is no better way to cool off after taking a stroll on the High Line in Chelsea than with one of the summer’s most popular drink; a frozen Negroni. The Alta Linea, located at the High Line Hotel offers a great outdoor seating area, which is perfect for day drinking while simultaneously soaking up the city’s views.

Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden

2919 24th Ave, Queens

You haven’t truly experienced a beer garden unless you’ve been to the beer garden. We’re talking about the Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden in Queens. Open for more than 100 years, this is the oldest (and arguably best) beer garden in NYC. In addition to fully stocked fridges and a wide variety of beers on tap this place offers expansive food choices based off of traditional Czech and Slovak menu. If you’re looking for a packed house and some great beer, this is definitely the place for you.

Pier A Harbor House

22 Battery Pl, New York

If you’re a fan of eating seafood while drinking outdoors (which, I mean, who isn’t?) Pier A Harbor House needs to be on the list of outdoor bars you’re going to make it to this summer. This enormous bar and restaurant is located at the Southern end of the Financial District and boasts a direct and fantastic view of the Statue of Liberty. This is the type of place you need to visit just to see it, but it also helps that their drinks are just as good as the view.
