Hot Buttered Rum Recipe
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ¼ cup honey
- ½ cup dark brown sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp allspice
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup spiced or dark rum
Instructions
- SOFTEN butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- ADD honey and stir until well combined and butter is melted.
- ADD brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice and water and bring to a boil.
- REDUCE to a simmer and stir in rum.
- SERVE hot!

I think you might be referring to the number of Mugs of Hot Buttered Rum the recipe produces…… I haven’t made this but it looks like a drink I used to love in the 1960’s on a cold night in Toronto.
