The club is unique since the sample comes in a soft pouch, straight to your mailbox – if you live in the United Kingdom. Hopefully, they’ll be expanding their services to the US soon, because with the holidays coming, I could definitely use an extra drink. Each pouch holds five centiliters of single malt Scotch, along with a comprehensive description of the booze. The whiskey has also been chosen by a tasting panel “to best represent the glorious flavors and diversity of single malt whiskey.”
The whole process is summed up efficiently on the website: each month, they “hand select” the best whiskies in the world, and pop them in a pouch and give them to the postman. Since the pouch can be left in your mailbox, no signature is required, so your after-work-drink will literally be waiting for you when you get home.
According to VinePair, the whiskey will come from a variety of distilleries including Aberfeldy, Macallan and Royal Lochnagar. It’s a great opportunity to try some top-notch drams for around $10 a month.
