#wineallthetime: Rosé is the new black

Featured Video Play Icon

Rosé season is here and pink is clearly the new black. The pink color comes from the juice briefly sitting on the skins of the grapes, which is a wine making process fancily called maceration.

This style of wine may be the oldest type out there, and the pink color ranges from super light pink to darker shades of violet. Mmm. Here’s what you need to know:

1) It’s 2015! Pink wine shouldn’t be sweet. Rosé is best dry.

2) Just because it’s pink doesn’t mean it’s “girly.” Men, women and children (okay not children) alike should drink rosé, unless they really want to miss out.

3) Rosé comes from all over the world, and is made with tons of different varieties of grapes.
