Wining and Dining with Natalie Mason

I am always very excited every month when I get my Wine Awesomeness box. I can’t wait to dig in and try the new wines. This month’s box was filled with some delicious ones, including the La Vida Camp El Novembre.

I have to admit what drew me to the wine first was the label… it is beautifully covered in butterflies, but the wine was just as great. I always like to pair my wine with good food and music. To accompany this bottle, I made marinated feta, which could not be easier to make and is just delicious with the red wine. I also jammed to the Ed Sheeran which is so good. Wine + good food + good music makes for a very happy happy hour.

Marinated Feta
1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried fennel seeds
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 cup good olive oil
salt and pepper
1 1/2 pounds Greek feta sliced thinly
Mix all the dried ingredients in a bowl. Layer the feta slices on a dish and sprinkle with the dried seasonings. Drizzle with live oil. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours
