5 Pairs of Wine Socks for your Feet & Heart

They say that the shoes make the man, but as a matter of fact it is the socks that really give us insight into a person’s soul. Much like a tattoo on the butt, socks offer an opportunity for expression and creativity that’s seen only on occasion, but appreciated that much more.

If socks are the key to understanding the soul, you’d best dress those feet correct, and by correct, we mean with wine. We won’t belabor it any further, wine socks rule and these are our favorite pairs.

1) The Classics

How could your feet ever resist showing off such a timeless tableau? The grapes, the bottle, the liquid itself. Behold! Magnificence in a polycotton blend. With a black background and burgundy colored banding these socks match with most things. Most importantly, they can be rocked proudly in formal situations. They come for guys or gals if your feet feel gendered.

These socks may not exude the same sense of timelessness as the pair above, but they do have non-English words on them… what’s classier than Italian and Spanish? Don’t answer that, then look at the socks, imagine your legs inside of them and soak it up. And guys, it’s okay to wear knee highs, just pretend you’re a 70’s era basketball player who loves wine.

3) The Varietal Socks

Most wine socks simply allude to wine as a general institution, but these go above and beyond, venturing boldly into the land of varietals. Proudly displayed are such distinguished grapes as Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc- each pictured in bold red and what is supposed to be something like white. If you dig these grapes, you’ll dig these socks.

4)  The Really Hammer it Home Wine Socks

From the Pepto pink banding to the neon green grape leaf, this shining example of hosiery is sure to stand out. The real highlight here, however, is that the wine bottles say ‘WINE’ on them. So, you know, everybody’s going to know it’s wine, even though the bottle itself looks like a detergent bottle. Brilliant.

5) The I Don’t Know What’s Happening Here But I Love It Socks

Last but oh so far from least, we have this spectacular pair of wine socks. With a distinguished blue background and a vivid red that screams “this is supposed to be wine” it’s hard not to admire foot coverings like these. But wait, there’s more! What really sets these socks off is the bubble graphic. Is the wine sending good vibes into the air? Is it an extremely effervescent Lambrusco? Is it snowing into the wine glass? Who really cares- it’s awesome.
